BMX High School League Rules (HS = high school)
Riders of all classes and skill level will compete from ages 13-18 (high school grades 8-12)
- High School racing competition will be held during a regular scheduled local race.
- The first BMX HS racing season will be comprised of a total of four (4) races.
- All 4 races will be held on either Saturday or Sunday.
- The season will start approximately March 1 st and end April 15th.
Races will be held at 4 different tracks (2 in N. Carolina/2 in S. Carolina)
- Riders must compete in 3 of the 4 races in order for them and their high school to be eligible for a State Title.
- All high schools, regardless of the school's size, will compete for the same State Championship titles.
- There will be a State High School Championship title for each individual State (North Carolina and South Carolina)
- There will be individual state titles for each grade (8-12) and skill level and its respective skill level (Novice, Intermediate and Expert).
- A point system will determine the winners
- Points for all riders will be awarded based on the point system established by the ABA on the District level (i.e. Novice Inter and Expert).
- The winners will be determined by the total number of points accumulated from all 4 races and based on their finishes in the main.
- The team and individuals with the largest number of points will be declared champions
- All schools and riders finishes will be awarded (ie 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th, 6th etc.).
- Results will be posted after each race on the ABA website
