Purpose

The High School BMX State Championship Series is being promoted in an effort to
Build a Stronger and more competitive BMX Community on the East Coast by:

WHY?

More East Coast riders tend to be confronted with:

  1. The lack of availability of teams and sponsors to add prestige and a sense of accomplishment to their riding ability as they development
  2. The lack of availability of advanced riders and Pros who can held increase the intensity of routine practices, training and racing
  3. The lack of availability  and access to local tracks for skill development and confidence building and
  4. The lack of awareness and appreciation for the sport by school officials and the general public

The East Coast has produced many talented and national caliper riders year after year.  Many have shown great promise only to leave the sport as a result of some of the reasons mentioned above.  Playing traditional sports is great.  They are already organized, they are very popular and the game, practice and team are only a mile away.   With BMX the lack of comrodary and support can make training and preparation a lonely endeavor.  We hope the High School BMX Championship Series will help BMX gain momentum in the Carolinas and spread to neighboring states (Georgia and Tennessee) thus giving our talented riders the opportunity to excel and compete on a National level and stay with the sport as long as they wish.
