Foot Down BMX is a game where riders balance, while riding a bicycle, in an effort to dismount another rider from their bicycle by merely forcing their opponent to lose his or her balance resulting in them placing their foot down on the ground. A rider is eliminated from the competition once their foot touches the ground.

How the Game is Played

All riders will ride in a circle in a designated area until the command "GO" is given or a whistle is blown. (all riders must begin riding in the same direction clock wise or counter clock wise)

The competition begins when the command "GO" is given or a whistle is blown.
Riders will them use strategies to get an opposing rider to lose their balance and dismount from the bicycle.  A dismount takes place when the rider places a "foot down" on the ground.
A foot Down on the ground eliminates the rider from the competition and they must immediately leave the competition circle.

The last rider mounted on his or her bike is declared the winner.  Second and third place will go two the last two riders who are eliminated.  Semi-mains can be held for large classes.  The winners of the semi-mains win the privilege to "sit out" of competition during the main until half of the riders have been eliminated.  These two riders must them enter the circle.
